The Military in Mildenhall
RAF Mildenhall celebrated its 75th Anniversary in 2009. The 100th Air Refueling Wing is RAF Mildenhall's current host wing and the only permanent U.S. air refueling wing in the European theater, activated here on February 1, 1992. The wing provides the critical air refueling "bridge" that allows the Expeditionary Air Force to deploy around the globe on a moment's notice.
RAF Mildenhall have kindly organised a visit for NDCC members and vistors to their base.
Following our arrival at 7.00am, we will have breakfast with some of the base leadership. Following this, we will be given a Wing Mission and Vision brief by Colonel Manske, Commander at RAF Mildenhall.
Shelia Bailey will give us a short presentation on the British American Commitee and what this means for local businesses and homeowners.
