Aims of the NBA
  • To respond to Government consultations on any matter with a bearing on business.

  • To monitor proposed legislation, and the implementation dates of enacted legislation in order to keep members informed of their statutory liabilities.

  • To lobby local and national Government to make sure the problems faced by businesses in Newmarket and district are fully understood.

  • To represent member businesses and maintain a high profile on their behalf, in the communities in which member businesses trade.

  • To promote links between business and education.

  • To promote links between NBA and other business organizations, including voluntary sector and social entrepreneurial organisations.

  • To encourage co-operation between members.

  • To encourage best practice.

  • To encourage members to train for change.

  • To arrange opportunities for members to network and socialise.
